In this unpublished dummy, produced in 2019, Els Martens draws the viewer into an image movement, suggesting filmic continuity while travelling through a (fictional) winter landscape, as if in a train or a car. With its sequence, the individual images offer different viewpoints and subtle shifts in speed. They also stretch the depiction of what is in front of the lens in a way that is proportional not only to the shutter speed of the camera, but also to the speed in which the camera itself is moving.
